1. Each of you needs to print out a minimum of one internet lesson plan using the medium (paint, printmaking etc) that you drew from the bag and bring to class.
Each medium has a designated chapter in your textbook look over the
chapter for ideas and suggestions for your lesson plan idea. Due October
19.
2. Read Chapters 5&6 We will be writing
art objectives and using motivation techniques based on the medium of
your lesson plan.
3. You will need to have a pencil drawing
on white 12x18 of your storybook illustration and we will have 30
minutes of work time on your collages in class. The collages are due
on Friday October 26 at the beginning of class.
4. Your 4 lesson idea forms will
be due with your final binder portfolio on Dec. 7, 2012. Eric Karle
will be the first lesson idea form integrating language arts and use one of his books
based on the appropriate grade level. Each additional lesson idea
should include a different author, book and integrate another subject
matter from Chapter 7-13 in the text.

October 12
1. Please complete your Van Gogh inspired tissue paper collage.
Using the oil pastels and sharpie markers to add line and movement to
your work. Create a cut out design of a landscape in construction
paper to finish your work.
2. Frame your Van Gogh Finger paintings and Tissue Collage and place in under the board in class to press, photograph and create a new blog post for each project on your portfolio. Remember to describe the project and how your process went as well as an extension activity that you could use in your classroom.
3. Read Chapters 20-22 for ideas to implement art history into your classroom.
